Philips Brightview Whole Body SPECT camera

The Philips Brightview SPECT is a versatile general-purpose camera. It can provide dynamic scanning, for example for organ function studies such as kidney, liver; whole-body scans such as for oncology, infection and inflammation; and tomographic (“SPECT”) images such as of bone and joints. The camera’s unique open design accommodates patients in all positions such as hospital beds and wheel chairs.

Philips Brightview XCT SPECT/CT camera

The Philips Brightview SPECT/XCT is a versatile general-purpose camera. It can provide dynamic scanning, for example for organ function studies such as kidney, liver; whole-body scans such as for oncology, infection and inflammation. It is equipped with all different collimators (LEHR, MEGP, HEGP) to be able to scan all types of isotopes. The CT part of the camera is a flat-panel cone beam CT which is optimal for the generation of CT images of high resolution of the extremities, especially hands and feet.

GE Discovery NMCT 670 Pro SPECT/CT camera

The GE Discovery NMCT 670 Pro SPECT/CT camera is a versatile general-purpose camera. It can provide dynamic scanning, for example for organ function studies such as kidney, liver; whole-body scans such as for oncology, infection and inflammation. It is equipped with all different collimators (LEHR, MEGP, HEGP) to be able to scan all types of isotopes. The SPECT / CT camera can provide quantitative SPECT imaging for different isotopes. The CT part is a high-end 16 slice CT fit for general purpose high quality CT imaging.

Cardio MD Camera

The Philips Cardio MD Gamma Camera is a dedicated nuclear cardiac camera with dual 90° fixed conventional scintillation detectors. Its small footprint easily fits into a small room and its horizontal imaging position allows for both supine and prone myocardial perfusion imaging. It is equipped to perform cardiac gated imaging, both planar and in SPECT mode. Its small sized rectangular detectors of 37 x 21 cm provides high resolution and sensitivity images of the myocardium, as well as other small organs such as thyroid and parathyroid.

PET/CT

The Siemens Biograph mCT FLOW is a high–end PET/ CT capably to perform very high quality PET imaging and is equipped with a 20-slice diagnostic CT. It provides high sensitivity images of dynamic PET images such as pharmacokinetic and organ function studies, as well as whole-body studies for oncology. The Flow technology allows planning and scanning based on a single continuous motion of the patient table with constant PET data aquisition, rather than stop-and-go. This, combined with TOF (Time of Flight) capability, highly contributes to speed of examination, high resolution images of organs, accurate quantification and minimal (radiation) dose.

Radionuclide Therapy Facility

The department of Nuclear Medicine of the Ghent University Hospital is equipped with two in-hospital rooms for high-dose beta particle therapy associated with the simultaneous emission of high-energy photons, and an ambulatory facility for the administration of pure beta and alpha particle therapy.
